As D-Market Elektronik Hizmetler ve Ticaret A.Ş. (“Paketleriz”), in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and relevant regulations, we have prepared this informative text to inform you about the processing, storage, and transfer of your personal data within the scope of the insurance service you receive for the product you have purchased.

1. What Personal Data is Processed?

Your identity information (Turkish ID number, date of birth) and contact information (mobile phone number) are collected and processed through online electronic forms and information systems.

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes: conducting and monitoring business activities, managing contractual processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing sales processes for goods/services, and providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations.

Your personal data will be processed based on the legal reasons stipulated in Article 5/2(c) and (e) of the KVKK, which state that processing is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract and for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right.

2. To Whom and for What Purposes Can Your Personal Data Be Transferred?

Your personal data may be transferred to:

  • Business Partners: For the purposes of conducting and monitoring business activities, managing sales processes for goods/services, and managing contractual processes.

  • Authorized Public Institutions and Organizations: For the purposes of ensuring compliance with regulations and providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations as required by law.

Your contact information will be transferred to business partners based on your explicit consent as per Article 5/1 of the KVKK.

3. What Are Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data?

Under the KVKK and relevant regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • To learn whether your personal data is processed,

  • To request information about the processing of your personal data,

  • To learn the purpose of processing your personal data and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,

  • To know the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred domestically or abroad,

  • To request the correction of incomplete or inaccurate personal data,

  • To request the deletion or destruction of your personal data within the framework of the conditions stipulated in the KVKK legislation,

  • To request that the correction, deletion, or destruction of your personal data be notified to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,

  • To object to the analysis of your data exclusively through automated systems, which may lead to an unfavorable consequence for you,

  • To request compensation for damages in case your personal data is processed in violation of the law.

4. How Can You Exercise Your Rights?

You can submit your requests and applications regarding your personal data using the Relevant Person Application Form:

  • By sending a wet-signed copy along with a photocopy of your ID to Hadımköy, Hastane Mah, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Cd. No:13, 34555 Arnavutköy/İstanbul,

  • By applying in person with a valid ID,

  • By sending an email with a registered electronic mail (KEP) address and secure electronic signature or mobile signature to our registered electronic mail address [email protected],

  • By sending an email from your previously registered email address in our system to [email protected].

According to the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures for Application to the Data Controller, the Relevant Person’s application must include the following information: name, surname, signature (if the application is in writing), Turkish ID number (or passport number and residence permit number for foreigners), residential or business address for notification, email address, phone number, fax number, and details regarding the request.

The request must clearly and understandably state the specific issue being requested. Relevant information and documents must be attached to the application.

The application must be related to the applicant's personal information. If acting on behalf of someone else, the applicant must provide a power of attorney and include identity and address information along with identity-verifying documents.

Applications made by unauthorized third parties on behalf of others will not be considered.

5. How Long Does It Take to Respond to Your Requests?

Your requests regarding your personal data will be evaluated and responded to as soon as possible and within a maximum of 30 days from the date they are received by Paketleriz. The response will be sent to the address you provided in your application, either by post or email, or through the same method used for the application, if possible.
